As a licensed Chiropractor since 1987 in the largest alternative health care profession in the United States, Dr. Lori Richardson has expanded her expertise to include the Classical Pilates repertoire. Chiropractic philosophy supports 5 basic principles: exercise, nutrition, rest, mental attitude and proper nervous system supply to the body. Joseph Pilate's over 600 exercises are an excellent way to support and strengthen our Health. In 2009 she was classically trained under Simona Cipriani and Brett Howard with U.S.P.A. and opened Pilates Barn in Madison, CT.
For the past decade she has studied with Pilates Elders Jay Grimes and Mary Bowen, second generation teachers Mari Windsor, Brooke Siler, Cary Regan, Alycea Ungaro, Cara Reeser, Blossom Leilani Crawford, Shari Berkowitz, Dorthee VandeWalle, Junghee Won, Siri Dharma Galliano and Kathy Corey.
In early 2015 she completed Kathi-Ross Nash's Advanced Teacher Training Program and in 2016 she attended Mejo Wiggins' "The Classical Syllabus". Dr. Richardson is also a member of PMA and Authentic Pilates Union.
Dr. Lori's philosophy is driven by bringing people to understand their true potential through movement. Anchored in a strong belief in the Classical Method of Pilates, she invites the opportunity to train the next generation of teachers to fully comprehend the moving meditation that is Pilates.

Candace started her Pilates teacher training in November of 2016. Since that time she had attended all three levels of U.S. Pilates training at Pilates Haus in Jersey City, NJ proctored by Brett Howard, Director of Education and Senior Teacher of Teachers, United States Pilates Association® LLC. Candace has been mentored by studio owner Lori Richardson and additionally has observed under other Pilates masters including Junghee Won, of the New York Pilates Studio, Sheila Mello of Pilates RI, and Iwalani Kaluhiokalani, founder of Smartbody Movement in Brookline, MA. Candace is enthusiastic to be a Certified Instructor at the Pilates Barn and having the opportunity the be immersed in Pilates in its most classic form.
